The Competition
How It Works
In the Executive Summary Round, teams submit an Executive Summary of their business idea. Most Executive Summary rounds take place September 2011 to January 2012 and are managed by each GSVC Partner School or Competition. Please visit the GSVC calendar for the various executive summary deadlines.
A select number of plans will be chosen to move forward to the Regional Semi-Final Rounds hosted by our Regional Partners. Teams that advance will expand their entries to full business plans, and compete in Regional Semi-Final Rounds.
The top two teams from each Regional Semi-Final Round will be selected to compete April 19-20, 2012 at the Global Finals at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, which will consist of two consecutive rounds: Global Semi-Finals and Finals. Teams will resubmit their business plan and supporting documents, with the opportunity to make revisions post Regional Semi-Finals, for the Global Finals Round.

Winners are announced at the culmination of the global finals. Prizes are awarded as follows:
1st place: $25,000
2nd place: $10,000
3rd place: $5,000
Social Impact Award: $10,000
