The Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC) is the largest and longest running student-led business plan competition providing mentoring, exposure, and prizes for social ventures from around the world.  Since its inception in 1999, GSVC has grown in size and in global reach while maintaining its mission of seeding and grounding businesses with socially impactful and financially viable plans.

In 2011, GSVC celebrated its 12th Anniversary and attracted 888 teams from 308 universities, representing 36 countries and hosted the Ideas to Impact Conference, an opportunity for leaders in the social venture space to network, exchange ideas, and see where the field is moving.  The success of these two events would not have been possible without the generosity of many donors.  We expect GSVC 2012 to build on our success to date and attract an even greater number of participants from around the globe.  Your support is crucial to our mission of strengthening the global community of social entrepreneurs who are working to address the world’s most critical challenges.
